Title bar

A strip on top of the window that shows the title of the window.

Task bar

a strip at the bottom of the screen that is used to open and/or monitor applications.

Scroll Bar

a strip at the side or bottom of a window that brings you down, up, left, or right if a window is too large to display it all in the screen.

Restore

To put a window back up that has been minimized.

Pointing device

usually a mouse, to move the pointer on the screen to open applications, see properties of an application, etc.

Minimize

Send a window down to the task bar.

Menu bar

A strip at the top of a window that shows the options available in a program.
